Usage Note

Leerzeile is a blank line used to visually separate paragraphs or sections in a text. In modern word processing and digital text it is the common alternative to Einrückung (indentation). Style guides differ on whether to use Einrückung or Leerzeile.

"Zwischen den Abschnitten wurde jeweils eine Leerzeile eingefügt."
