Usage Note

Tafelwasser is treated and packaged still drinking water, or water served at table in a restaurant. In German restaurants, asking for Tafelwasser or stilles Wasser specifies non-sparkling water, as opposed to Sprudel or Mineralwasser mit Kohlensäure.
