Usage Note

Dauernd in spoken German expresses irritated repetition, much like immer wieder but more emphatic. Er kommt dauernd zu spät implies the speaker is fed up. Slightly more colloquial and emotionally coloured than ständig.

Natural Translation

She keeps interrupting me when I'm talking.

Literal Translation

She interrupts me constantly when I tell.
