Eilends is a slightly formal or literary adverb meaning 'in great haste'. It is less common than eilig but found in newspapers and narrative prose: Sie eilte eilends davon.

He hurriedly left the room when the phone rang.
Literal Translation
He left hurriedly the room, as the phone rang.
