Usage Note

einflüstern means to whisper privately to someone — often with a connotation of manipulation or prompting. A prompter in a theatre flüstert den Text ein; a manipulative adviser flüstert jemandem etwas ein. The prefix ein- implies getting the message 'into' the person.
