Usage Note

schlürfen has two bodily senses: slurping a drink noisily and shuffling along with dragging feet. Both are vivid B2 words for body behaviour. The foot-shuffle sense appears in descriptions of a tired or elderly gait (in Hausschuhen schlürfen).
