Usage Note
sogar is the emphatic 'even', used to flag something surprising: Er hat sogar geweint ('he even cried'). It's stronger and more positive in tone than selbst in the same role. Don't confuse it with the English-looking so gar, which isn't a phrase.

Natural Translation
She even speaks Japanese.
Literal Translation
She speaks even Japanese.
