Usage Note
Wo war ich is a spoken filler used after an interruption or digression to signal that the speaker is returning to the thread: Ja, wo war ich – achja, also wie ich schon sagte .... It acknowledges a break in the flow and invites the listener to follow the speaker back. Purely conversational; not used in writing.
