Geißblatt (Lonicera periclymenum) is the native European honeysuckle, a climbing shrub with sweetly fragrant flowers that are especially powerful in the evening. Common in hedgerows and woodland edges. The berries are toxic. In gardens, it is sometimes grown near seating areas to enjoy its evening scent.
