Klatschmohn (Papaver rhoeas) is the bright red field poppy traditionally associated with grain fields and roadsides in Germany. Klatsch refers to the sound the petals supposedly make. A symbol of fallen soldiers across Europe; in Germany also associated with summer landscape and wildflower meadows.
