Usage Note
Landesgesetz is a law enacted by the parliament of one of Germany's sixteen states, within the areas of competence reserved to the states. It takes precedence over state regulations but yields to federal law under Article 31 of the Basic Law (Bundesrecht bricht Landesrecht).
