Usage Note
Malzbier is neuter: das Malzbier. A very low-alcohol (under 0.5% ABV), sweet, dark malt drink. Traditionally given to nursing mothers and children. Still drunk today, especially by people avoiding alcohol. Commercially sold as Karamalz or Vitamalz.
