Usage Note
Soloabend refers to an evening concert featuring a single performer — a pianist, violinist, or singer — performing alone or with accompaniment. It is similar to Recital but the German term emphasises the evening format.

Natural Translation
The pianist gave a rapturously received solo recital at the Elbphilharmonie.
Literal Translation
The pianist gave a cheered-at solo-evening in the Elbphilharmonie.
