Straßenbauer is a recognised apprenticeship profession in Germany for workers who build and repair roads, pavements, cycle paths, and airfields. The formal title is Straßenbauer/-bauerin. Feminine: Straßenbauerin. Closely related: Tiefbauer (civil engineering groundworks).
