Usage Note

Stunde is feminine (die Stunde, plural Stunden) and means both an hour and a class period or lesson, as in Deutschstunde. Don't confuse it with the false friend 'stunde'; and note Stunde (hour) differs from Uhr, which tells clock time. Nachhilfestunden are private tutoring lessons.
