Usage Note
Urlaubstag is an individual day taken from one's annual leave entitlement. Einen Urlaubstag nehmen = 'to take a day off'. German employees are legally entitled to at least 20 Urlaubstage per year based on a five-day working week.

Natural Translation
He still has three leave days that he must take by the end of the year.
Literal Translation
He has still three holiday-days that he by year-end take must.
