Usage Note
Wanderfalke (Falco peregrinus) is the world's fastest animal in a dive (over 300 km/h). It recovered from near-extinction caused by DDT and now nests on cathedral towers in German cities. Wanderer suggests it was once thought to be a wandering bird.
Examples
"Ein Wanderfalke hat auf dem Kölner Dom gebrütet und mehrere Junge großgezogen."
Natural Translation
A peregrine falcon has bred on Cologne Cathedral and raised several chicks.

A peregrine-falcon has on-the Cologne cathedral bred and several young raised.
