Weizenbier (also Weißbier) is neuter: das Weizenbier. A top-fermented beer brewed with at least 50% wheat malt. The Bavarian variety (Hefeweizen) is characterised by a yeasty, banana-and-clove flavour. Always served in tall curved glasses.
