Usage Note
Zwickelbier is drawn directly from the barrel via a small tap (Zwickel) and is unfiltered and unpasteurised. Similar to Kellerbier, it has a fresh, yeasty flavour. It is a speciality of Franconian breweries and increasingly popular in German craft-beer culture. Plural: Zwickelbiere.
