Usage Note
beredt is an elevated adjective for eloquent or articulate speech. It can also describe a non-verbal sign that 'speaks volumes': 'ein beredtes Schweigen' (an eloquent silence) or 'ein beredter Blick' (an expressive look). More literary than eloquent, which is a loanword.
