Usage Note
Betriebsam describes a scene or person characterised by bustling, busy, industrious activity. Betriebsam hin und her laufen — to bustle back and forth busily. It often describes the observable appearance of busyness from the outside and can be slightly ironic (all activity, perhaps not all productive).
