Also means
terribly (informal intensifier)
Usage Note
Grausam as an adverb describes actions of shocking cruelty. Informally, especially in southern German and Austrian speech, it is also used as a hyperbolic intensifier: grausam kalt means 'terribly cold'. The intensifier use can surprise learners.

"Das ist grausam kalt heute — ich hätte eine dickere Jacke anziehen sollen."
Natural Translation
It is terribly cold today — I should have put on a thicker jacket.
Literal Translation
That is cruelly cold today — I should a thicker jacket put-on have.
