Usage Note

hinzu means 'in addition' and chiefly works as a separable prefix, as in hinzufügen ('to add') and hinzukommen ('to be added, to arrive on top'). The set phrase hinzu kommt, dass... introduces an additional point. It combines hin (movement away) with zu.

Natural Translation

She added one more remark.

Literal Translation

She added still a remark in-addition.
