Usage Note
Hochnäsig (literally 'high-nosed') is the colloquial, informal equivalent of hochmütig — it describes the same disdainful self-importance but in a more everyday, slightly humorous register. Used when someone acts as if they are better than others in a petty, affected way.

Natural Translation
She acted snobbish towards the new employees.
Literal Translation
She behaved snooty towards the new employees.
