concrete

adjective kon-KRAYT Less Common

Origin: from Latin 'concretus'

specific

Usage Note

konkret means 'concrete' in the sense of specific and tangible, the opposite of abstrakt. Beware the false friend: the building material 'concrete' is der Beton, never konkret. As an adverb it means 'specifically': Was meinst du konkret?.
