natürlich

natural

adjective adverb na-TUYR-likh Less Common

Also means

Usage Note

natürlich does double duty: as an adjective it means natural, but as a one-word reply it means 'of course' or 'naturally'. Germans use it constantly to agree warmly, e.g. Natürlich!. The opposite adjective is künstlich ('artificial').
