Usage Note
reichen has two everyday senses: to be enough (das reicht! means 'that's enough!') and to pass or hand something to someone. With a dative person it means to hand over, e.g. reich mir das Salz. It also appears in bis zu reichen ('to reach/extend to').

Natural Translation
The money isn't enough.
