Usage Note
Solange is a temporal conjunction meaning 'as long as' a condition holds: Solange es regnet, bleiben wir drinnen ('As long as it rains, we stay inside'). It sends the verb to the end of the subordinate clause. Do not confuse with so lange, which is the adverb meaning 'for so long'.
