Usage Note
Triefnass means thoroughly saturated and actively dripping — stronger than nass or durchnässt. Triefnasse Haare drip onto the floor; triefnasse Kleidung must be wrung out. Common in descriptions of someone caught in heavy rain.

Natural Translation
She came in through the door soaking wet after the umbrella had flipped inside out.
Literal Translation
She came soaking-wet to the door inside, after the umbrella had flipped.
