Usage Note

Falschaussage is giving deliberately untrue testimony as a witness. Under § 153 StGB it is punishable with imprisonment. Distinct from Meineid (perjury under oath), which carries heavier penalties.

Natural Translation

He was charged with making false testimony before the court.

Literal Translation

He was because-of false-statement before court charged.
