Gehirnerschütterung is the mildest form of traumatic brain injury, caused by a blow to the head, and typically presents with headache, nausea, dizziness, and temporary confusion. Rest (Bettruhe) is the standard treatment. More severe injury is called Schädel-Hirn-Trauma.
