Usage Note

Nacht is feminine despite ending in a consonant cluster, and its plural umlauts to Nächte. 'Good night' is gute Nacht, and 'at night' is nachts (lower-case adverb) or in der Nacht. The idiom über Nacht means 'overnight'.
