Usage Note

Reinschrift is the neat, corrected final version of a handwritten or typed document, produced after the rough draft (Entwurf or Konzept). In school contexts students are expected to hand in a Reinschrift after correcting their drafts. Less common in the digital age but still used in calligraphy and formal correspondence.
