Usage Note

Schwarzstorch (Ciconia nigra) is the black stork, a shy, forest-dwelling relative of the white stork. Unlike the Weißstorch, it nests in old-growth trees far from human settlements and is much rarer. Its iridescent black plumage distinguishes it immediately.
