Usage Note
Tagesgeschehen is a collective noun (no plural in practice) for the totality of events that took place on a given day. It is common in journalistic language: das aktuelle Tagesgeschehen (current events of the day). Very common in broadcast media intros.

"Das Tagesgeschehen wird um 20 Uhr zusammengefasst."
Natural Translation
The events of the day are summarised at 8 pm.
Literal Translation
The day-happening is at 20 o'clock summarised.
