Usage Note

Teppichboden is fitted wall-to-wall carpeting as opposed to a loose rug (Teppich); common in older German flats but increasingly removed in favour of hard flooring (Parkett, Laminat) during renovations. Cleaning a Teppichboden requires regular vacuuming.
