Usage Note

Weihrauch is the aromatic resin burned as incense in religious ceremonies, particularly in Catholic and Orthodox liturgies. It symbolises prayer rising to God; the Three Wise Men's gift of frankincense (Weihrauch) makes it a central Christmas symbol too.
