Usage Note
dritt is the ordinal 'third' and almost always appears inflected as dritte/dritter/drittes, never bare. Watch the idiom zu dritt ('the three of us / in a group of three'), and note die Dritte Welt for the developing world. It is built irregularly from drei rather than by simply adding a suffix.
