Usage Note

überweisen means to send money from one account to another. It is inseparable, so the prefix über- stays attached: Ich überweise dir das Geld, perfect habe überwiesen. It also means to refer a patient to a specialist, but in finance it always concerns einen Betrag auf ein Konto (an amount to an account).
