Usage Note
Datenschutzbehörde is the supervisory authority responsible for monitoring compliance with data protection laws, in particular the GDPR (DSGVO). In Germany each Land has its own Landesdatenschutzbehörde; at federal level the Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz (BfDI) performs this role for federal bodies.
