Usage Note
Klaeger is the plaintiff who brings a civil Klage. The opposing party is the Beklagter (defendant). A female plaintiff is a Klaegerin. The plural is unchanged: die Klaeger. Do not confuse the civil Klaeger with the criminal Anklaeger.
