Robinie (Robinia pseudoacacia) is a North American tree introduced to Europe in the 17th century, now widely naturalised. It is valued for its hard, rot-resistant timber and fragrant white flowers (used for Akazienhonig), but considered an invasive species in many German nature reserves.
