genießen is strong and irregular (genoss, genossen) and takes a direct object without any preposition: das Essen genießen ('to enjoy the food'). The related noun is Genuss ('pleasure, indulgence'), and the warning mit Vorsicht zu genießen means 'to be taken with caution'. Note the ß stays even before -en.
