Pfifferling is the chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius), a golden-yellow wild mushroom highly popular in Germany. It is a seasonal late-summer delicacy, featured in Jägersoße, with Rahmspinat, or simply sautéed in butter. Plural: Pfifferlinge.
